Westward Ho! is a seaside resort proudly retaining the prestigious Blue Flag award year upon year. Just beyond the pebble ridge at the beach lies Northam Burrows Country Park, home to England's oldest golf course. The South West Coastal path and Tarka Trails pass closely by providing many walking opportunities, whilst the Big Sheep Adventure Park and market town of Bideford is within 3 miles.
Devon has quite a few claims to fame such as being the backdrop to many films, including; War Horse - starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, and directed by Steven Spielberg. Brixton, Paignton and Torquay are the three Riviera towns and are great places to enjoy a day at the seaside. The Dartmoor National Park can be found in Devon and offers visitors a dramatic moorland landscape, ancient woodland, rare wildlife and notable influences, such as the location for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes case 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
