On the ground floor there is also a shower room and on the first floor, a main bathroom. The living accommodation comprises a fitted kitchen, dining room and sitting room with woodburning stove. Off road parking is available outside for three cars, while guests have a private lawned garden with furniture. With lovely countryside views over the Exe Valley, and with the delights of peaceful Bickleigh village close by, Fig Tree Cottage makes a great base for a relaxing family holiday in Mid Devon.

The lovely Devonshire village of Bickleigh is located in a riverside location within the Exe Valley. Bickleigh Mill is an 18th century working mill, which offers shopping and dining in a riverside setting, while the Devon Railway Centre and Model World is worth a visit. Exeter is a short drive away.
Devon has quite a few claims to fame such as being the backdrop to many films, including; War Horse - starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, and directed by Steven Spielberg. Sense and Sensibility - starring Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet. The French Lieutenant's Woman - starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons. South Devon is home to over 20 miles of Torbay coastline which is otherwise known as the 'English Riviera'. Brixton, Paignton and Torquay are the three Riviera towns and are great places to enjoy a day at the seaside. So if you fancy some fresh sea air and picturesque views then visit the 'English Riviera'.
The Dartmoor National Park can be found in Devon and offers visitors a dramatic moorland landscape, ancient woodland, rare wildlife and notable influences, such as the location for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes case 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
