Take a tour of the Plymouth Gin distillery, watch a show at the Theatre Royal or spend a few hours at the National Marine Aquarium. There are also boat trips around the Sound and Naval dockyards, watersports at the Mountbatten Centre and the city centre shopping mall to explore. The tors of Dartmoor, the beach resorts of Torbay, several stately homes and gardens and the coastal scenery of South Cornwall can all be reached in under 45 minutes.
