East Portlemouth is a village nestled on the southern edge of the Kingsbridge Estuary in the South Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village offers a little cafe (open only on dry days) and a number of beaches - Fisherman's Cove, Smalls Cove and Mill Bay - all of which have been awarded Safe Bathing status. Just across the estuary is the town of Salcombe with its popular independent boutiques and plentiful selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, which can be reached easily by a five minute pedestrian ferry ride.
