Several gardens and stately homes are within a radius of ten miles, and the Roseland Peninsula, with its rocky headlands, quiet coves, pretty fishing villages and safe, sandy beaches, can be reached within ten minutes. If you love the countryside and being close to the sea, sailing and estuaries, this is the place. Attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are easily reached.
Cornwall is a region full of history, culture and unique identity. So unique in fact that Cornwall has its very own language (Kernowek), flag (St Piran's Banner) and national anthem (Trelawney). In 2014 the UK government officially recognised the fine people of Cornwall as a national minority group, meaning that Cornish heritage and traditions now join the Irish, Scottish and Welsh as a protected Celtic group.
