The village of Downham is within the Forest of Bowland AONB with a gastro pub, a lovely tearoom, a seasonal ice cream shop and a village green. Nearby is the market town of Clitheroe which has a number of attractions on offer including the castle and museum, Bowland Brewery and a variety of galleries. It is also well worth seeing what events are upcoming at The Grand with a selection of live music and cinema nights. There are four circular walks that will show you the town and surrounding area and Clitheroe Gold Club is ideal for any enthusiasts in the group.
