Rackenford is a village serving the surrounding farming community with village shop and a traditional village pub The Stag Inn. As with many small villages in Mid Devon there is a great community spirit with gatherings across the year, the annual bonfire night always attracting a great crowd. Positioned close to the North Devon link road (A361) the village is well placed for exploring the region and the beautiful landscape of Exmoor is close by, ideal for cycling. The nearby market town of Tiverton has a lovely town centre and plenty of shops and supermarkets. The Tiverton Canal and the horse drawn barges well worth a visit.

South Devon is home to over 20 miles of Torbay coastline which is otherwise known as the 'English Riviera'. Brixton, Paignton and Torquay are the three Riviera towns and are great places to enjoy a day at the seaside. So if you fancy some fresh sea air and picturesque views then visit the 'English Riviera'.
The Dartmoor National Park can be found in Devon and offers visitors a dramatic moorland landscape, ancient woodland, rare wildlife and notable influences, such as the location for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes case 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'.
