Salcombe is a coastal town in Devon, England. It is a popular tourist area and is notable for its sailing and yachting. Popular for its local beaches - Sunny Cove, Mill Bay and Cable Cove are just some of the beaches often visited. Salcombe is within driving distance of the popular local towns of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth.
Devon has quite a few claims to fame such as being the backdrop to many films, including; War Horse - starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, and directed by Steven Spielberg. Sense and Sensibility - starring Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet. The French Lieutenant's Woman - starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons.
