The tiny village of Ennerdale rests among the rolling hills and small farms of pretty Cumbrian countryside, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a few miles from the coast. The River Ehen runs through the village, with a stone bridge dividing Ennerdale into two halves. On the northern side are the village school and a pub, whilst the southern side is home to the parish church and a second pub. There are lovely footpaths trailing through the surrounding countryside, across fields and fells of the wild Ennerdale Valley
