Church Steps Cottage is a character cottage resting within Winklrigh village. It houses three bedrooms, comprising of a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom and a bedroom with a 2'6 pull-out stacker bed. There is a bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen and a sitting/dining room with a woodburning fire. To the outside, you will find a private garden area with small and chairs and road-side parking. Winkleigh is a rural village set at the heart of Devon's rolling countryside and offers a shop, post office, butcher and a cafe, plus two pubs, one which offers food. Within close reach are the open tors of Dartmoor which is great for nature lovers and walkers, while the hills of Exmoor and the surfing beaches can all be reached in 40 minutes by car.
Devon has quite a few claims to fame such as being the backdrop to many films, including; War Horse - starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, and directed by Steven Spielberg. Sense and Sensibility - starring Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet. The French Lieutenant's Woman - starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons. Edge Of Tomorrow: Live Die Repeat - starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Brendan Gleeson. So you may recognise a few of the locations from their appearances on the big screen.

Agatha Christie went on to become a best-selling novelist, Reverend John Russell developed the Jack Russell Terrier, Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the world, and Sir Walter Raleigh became a famous explorer.
South Devon is home to over 20 miles of Torbay coastline which is otherwise known as the 'English Riviera'. Brixton, Paignton and Torquay are the three Riviera towns and are great places to enjoy a day at the seaside.
